Conrad Wolfram: Teaching kids real math with computers

Even though the video has been out for 2 years, I think now with the change in our curriculum to the Common Core this will be completely relevant in the classrooms.

I don't know when the last time was that I sat down with a math book to solve a problem, but I do know how and when I used math last. For example, how many miles to the gallon my car gets, what time I need to leave my house to be somewhere that is 45 minutes away, figuring out how many copies to make, budgeting and bills, how much paint to buy, and the list goes on and on. Hopefully we'll begin to tie in practical applications to classroom math in order to help our students grow!
